ABS-CBN brings another Carlo J Caparas’ creation on TV after the success of Pieta and Ang Panday, this time it will center on a person molded to be a fighter who will targets his own family. Dugong Buhay that will premiere on ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Gold starting April 8 after It’s Showtime stars Ejay Falcon, Arjo Atayde, Christian Vasquez, Noni Biencamino, Anna Capri, Sunshine Cruz, Lito Pimentel, Jed Montero, Yam Concepcion, Ronnie Quizon and Ketchup Eusebio. It is under the direction of Toto Natividad.
Dugong Buhay centers to the hatred and revenge of Simon (Buencamino) to the family of the Enrique de Lara (Vasquez) who was the reason behind the death of his wife and son. He kidnapped Enrique’s son Gabriel and nurtured him to be his son and filled with anger against the de Laras in a new name which is Victor (Falcon). Living in a lie about his real identity, Victor aims to finish the lives of the family unknown to him especially his Rafael (Atayde) whom will become his rival in the story.
The latest afternoon teleserye of ABS-CBN is a TV adaptation of the 1983 film with the same title that was directed by Caparas and featured the Ramon Revilla Sr and his son Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. The teleserye also includes Carlo Aquino, Valerie Concepcion, Ahron Villena, Maliksi Morales, Yen Santos and Jamilla Obispo in their special participation in the first few episodes of this action-drama show of ABS-CBN.
