After the success of Pieta, Panday and Elias Paniki, ABS-CBN brings another TV adaptation of a Carlo J Caparas creation entitled Dugong Buhay and slated to air on the Kapamilya Network this April. Dugong Buhay was a 1983 film directed by Caparas with action stars Ramon Revilla Sr., Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., Paquito Diaz, Rose Marie Gil, Charlie Davao, Maria Isabel Lopez, Eula Valdes, Jonee Gamboa and Michael de Mesa. Meanwhile, the TV adaptation stars Ejay Falcon, Jed Montero, Arjo Atayde, Noni Buencamino, Christian Vasquez, Lito Pimentel, Anna Capri, Sunshine Cruz, Ronnie Quizon, Ketchup Eusebio, and Yam Concepcion.
Dugong Buhay follows the journey of Victor (Falcon) who grew under the guidance of Simon (Buencamino) whom he thought was his real father. Nurtured with anger and revenge against the de Lara who is his real family he will be Simon’s tool to avenge for the death of his wife and son making Victor whose real name is Gabriel the weapon to end the lives of his real family. Being made to be a soldier for revenge will Victor discover the truth and realize that blood is thicker than water?
Directed by Toto Natividad, Dugong Buhay includes Carlo Aquino, Valerie Concepcion, Ahron Villena, Maliksi Morales, Yen Santos and Jamilla Obispo in their special participation in the first few episodes of this action-drama show of ABS-CBN.
