In line with the much-awaited release of Oz the Great and Powerful in theaters nationwide on March 7, Walt Disney Studios now releases the character posters of characters based from L. Frank Baum’s beloved novel – The Wizard of Oz. Featured in the said character posters are James Franco as Oscar Diggs, Rachel Weisz as Evanora, Michelle Williams as Glinda and Mila Kunis and Theodora.
Directed by Sam Raimi, produced by Joe Roth and written by Mitchell Kapner and David Lindsay-Abaire, Oz the Great and Powerful marks the return of the characters created by L. Frank Baum in the big screen and highlighted the arrival of Oscar Diggs, a small-time circus magician of Kansas City with dubious ethics that was swept away by a hurricane to the Land of Oz and met the three witches, Theodora, Evanora and Glinda. Having doubts that he is the great wizard according to prophecy, Oscar will do anything to convince them at the same time help the inhabitants of the land which was he is the main reason that epic problem that they encountered.
