After playing the role of Lucas Teodoro in the defunct top-rating teleserye Imortal with Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz in 2010, Rico Blanco returns to ABS-CBN for another acting stint in May Isang Pangarap. Rico Blanco will be playing the role of Obet, and he will be joined by Vina Morales, Carmina Villaroel, Larah Claire Sabroso and Julia Klarisse Base. May Isang Pangarap will be airing on ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Gold after It’s Showtime.
Playing the role of Obet, the character is very close to the heart of Rico for being a singer and member of a band. From being a member of Rivermaya from 1993 until 2007 and became solo until now he continue his career as a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer and now as actor. He will be playing as the husband of Tere (Vina) who is also a performer and chooses career over her family. With their child Lara (Larah), Obet abandoned Tere and started a new life and met Nessa (Carmina).
Tere being left alone and in search for her daughter and husband who abandoned her accidentally found refuge to an orphan named Julia and later treated her as her daughter. May Isang Pangarap gives way to Rico and also Vina to return to acting at the same time had the chance to showcase their talent in singing.
May Isang Pangarap also stars Gloria Diaz, Dominic Roque, Bembol Roco, Dennis Padilla, Erin Ocampo, Ron Morales, Shamaine Buencamino, and Valerie Concepcion. Directed by Jerry Lopez Sineneng and Erik Salud it will be airing on ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Gold beginning January 21.
