Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures revealed another sci-fi film that everyone should be looking forward on July 2013 entitled Pacific Rim. This is the return of Guillermo del Toro in the big screen as a director whereas the last movie he directed was Hellboy II: The Golden Army in 2008. Del Toro was one of the writers of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, a film that Warner Bros is distributing right now.
Pacific Rim stars Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi and Charlie Day. The film was set after the emergence of the monstrous creatures from the sea and start attacking millions of people who are living in the city. The giant monsters are called Kaiju and the only way to combat them and save the lives of everyone is by massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. The Jaegers will be manned by a tandem consist of a washed up former pilot (Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Kikuchi).

The epic sci-fi film was based from the screenplay of Travis Beacham who did the script of Clash of the Titans. Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni and Mary Parent are producing, with Callum Greene serving as executive producer. Other cast members of Pacific Rim are Ron Perlman, Max Martini, Robert Kazinsky, Clifton Collins, Jr., Burn Gorman, Larry Joe Campbell, Diego Klattenhoff, and Brad William Henke.
