Sisterakas and One More Try dominate 2012 MMFF Box-Office

The Metro Manila Film Festival committee officially releases the current standing of the 8 movies yesterday (December 26) in terms of its earnings for the first two days in cinemas within the 48 theaters in Metro Manila. Sisterakas of the blockbuster trio Kris Aquino, Ai Ai delas Alas, and Vice Ganda with Xyriel Manabat, Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo ranks number 1 in the box office ranking of the 2012 MMFF after grossing more than Php 39.2 million. Meanwhile, One More Try that stars Angel Locsin, Angelica Panganiban, Dingdong Dantes and Zanjoe Marudo ranks number 3 after grossing to more than Php 13.6 million.

Meanwhile the other ranking of the Metro Manila Film Festival entries include Si Enteng, Si Agimat at Si Ako ranking number 2 with Php 29.5 million and Shake, Rattle and Roll 14 in number 4 with Php 10.5 million. Ranking of the remaining four entries in order; El Presidente, The Strangers, Sosy Problems and Thy Womb.

Sisterakas is a family comedy film set in a fashion industry where two opposing fashion company owners try to outwit and outsmart each other. Meanwhile, One More Try a romantic drama film follows the struggle of a mother with a dying child asking help from the father who doesn’t even know that they have a child and will do anything in order to save the life of their son even it takes to go beyond boundaries of what the world sees as immorality.

Sisterakas and One More Try are showing in all cinemas nationwide and distributed by Star Cinema together with The Strangers that stars Enchong Dee, Julia Montes and Enrique Gil.
