Tagged as the artist with the most viewed video in YouTube and became an instant celebrity for the song Gangnam Style, Park Jae-sang or popularly known as the Korean singer Psy will be coming to the Philippines of December 20, 2012 at 9PM at the SM Mall of Asia Arena for the PSY: Gangnam Style Live In Manila Concert. The said event was made possible by the promoters Ovation Productions and That’s Entertainment.
Philippines will be one of Psy’s destinations for his The Gangnam Show tour where as he will be joined by Filipino artists including Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Wally and Jose, Pokwang, Chocoleit, Pooh, K Brosas, Ate Gay, and Ai Ai de las Alas. Up to date, Psy’s Gangnam Style peaked on Billboard’s YouTube Music Video Chart at No. 1 in early September and earned recognition from the Guinness Book of World Records as the most “liked” video in YouTube history. As of the moment, the music video has accumulated over 968 million views on YouTube emerging as the site’s most watched video, dislodging Justin Bieber’s single, Baby, from the top spot. It is poised to reach 1 billion views before Christmas Day.
His song is included in the music compilation album released by MCA entitled The Hottest Hits Ever… The Gangnam Style that also features “Call Me Maybe” (Carly Rae Jepsen), “Payphone” (Maroon 5), “Boyfriend” (Justin Bieber), “Starships” (Nicki Minaj), “Where Have You Been” (Rihanna) and more!
