From being an online celebrity with more than 430, 000 followers on Twitter, 100, 000 Facebook, 100, 000 on Tumblr and 2, 000, 000 views on YouTube, Kimpoy Feliciano now ventures to another career and that is being a singer. With the help of the Universal Records, Kimpoy releases his debut album that has 6 songs in CD and DVD format. It is currently out in all record stores for only Php 250 and can be downloaded via www.mymusicstores.com.
At the age of 19 and now living with his family at the Dunedin, New Zealand, he flew in the Philippines last August 2012 and need to record all his songs for only 10 days with Universal Records and Orion Entertainment who handles him as one of their artists. His album contains Right Next To Me, I’ll Be Your Hero, Ngiti, Una at Huling Mamahalin, and Ikaw Lang. All songs have music videos and some where taken in New Zealand where he directed it and video was taken by his father.
According to him, he will be staying in the Philippines until February 2013 to promote his album. He’s very happy that he was given this opportunity to showcase his talent at the same time to meet his fans in person in his mall tours.
As for musical influence, he mentioned that he admires the talent of Christian Bautista. He is also looking forward to collaborate with Julie Ann San Jose and Sarah Geronimo. Kimpoy is currently part of the Peace Ambassadors of the Philippine government.
