After the launching of the Juan Ponce Enrile – A Memoir that contains the life story of the Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile last September 27 at the Peninsula Manila, the 772-page autobiography that details the life of Sen. Enrile or popularly known as Manong Johnny his supporters is now available in all branches of National Bookstores.

The Juan Ponce Enrile – A Memoir contains the personal life and the political contribution and impact of Manong Johnny in the Philippines for being part of the government for almost four decades. He became part of the resistance against the Martial Law and became the Senate President that takes the lead on the impeachment proceedings of the two influential politicians in the country. Originally the autobiography of Manong Johnny was around 2, 000 pages and with the help of Nelson Navarro, a journalist, he edited it until it reaches the final form which is 772 pages.

Manong Johnny’s autobiography narrates his journey on becoming part of the government and his relationship to the Philippine Presidents including Ferdinand Marcos, Corazon Aquino up to the present. Highlights in the Juan Ponce Enrile – A Memoir also includes the origins of United Coconut Planters Bank, the people behind the sale of San Miguel to Danding Cojuangco, how Enrile called the Imelda-Qaddafi agreement on Mindanao a betrayal of the nation, and the last-minute secret deal Marcos supposedly struck with the Americans at the height of the EDSA revolt.
