For the third time, Cinemalaya Best Actor Edgar Allan de Guzman returns to Maalaala Mo Kaya and will be playing the role of Ritchie a closet gay who dreams to be a seaman. This MMK episode that will be airing on September 22 and directed by Nick Olanka will show all the challenges that the character played by Edgar Allan de Guzman encountered because of his sexuality but still he tries to do everything in order to reach for his dream and for his family.
The main goal of Ritchie to prove himself to his family especially to his father who opposes of him being a gay and wanted to show them that even though that he is gay he can still succeed in life. But things are not easy for him especially he needs to hide his real identity when he entered the course because of the fear of being insulted and belittled by his classmates. But up to what extend he can hide his real identity when he started to fell in love with one of his classmates?
Joining Edgar Allan de Guzman in this Maalaala Mo Kaya episode are Lito Pimentel, Jobelle Salvador, Eda Nolan, Ryan Boyce, David Chua, Bryan Homecillo, Art Mendoza, Joseph Bitangcol, and Quintin Alianza.
