Few days after the release of the very first presentation of The Phantom of the Opera in Manila that produced by Lunchbox Theatrical Productions, David Atkins Enterprises, Hi-Definition Radio Inc. and Concertus Manila in association with The Really Useful Group, the producers gives the media organizations and selected bloggers the chance to see some of the scenes of majestic and long-running musical created by Andrew Lloyd Webber. It was based from the based from the French novel of Gaston Leroux entitled Le Fantôme de l’Opéra that was published in 1910.

The Phantom of the Opera inManilais currently staging at theCulturalCenterof the Philippines (CCP) Main Theatre (Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo) on August 25 to September 30, 2012. According to the producers of The Phantom of the Opera inManila, they haven’t adjusted most of the scenes because the CCP Main Theater can accommodate most of the props and stage designs that the musical requires. They said it is much bigger compare with the Broadway andWest Endwhich they had the chance to move freely; the actors and the stage designs faster and easily. While they included Filipinos in the team including the orchestra and technical team to make them be part of this majestic presentation in Manila.

The cast of The Phantom of the Opera inManilaincludes Jonathan Roxmouth as the Phantom, Claire Lyon as Christine Daaé, and Anthony Downing as Raoul.

The Phantom of the Opera is one of the plays that Lunchbox Theatrical Productions brought in the country in cooperation of Concertus Manila where it runs simultaneously with the Potter Potter in Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium. According to them they will be bringing more magnificent plays perfect to the theater taste of every Filipinos. They already brought Mamma Mia, Cats and Stomped in thePhilippines.
