After the successful airing on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida time slot last January 2012 and by popular demand, the Kapamilya Network will be bringing back City Hunter that stars Lee Min Ho this July on Kapamilya Gold. The Korean action drama series also stars Park Min Young, Lee Joon Hyuk, Hwang Sun Hee, Goo Hara and Lee Kwang Soo. It was based on the Japanese manga series with the same title written and illustrated by Tsukasa Hojo
City Hunter follows the character Johnny Lee played by Lee Min Ho whose ultimate goal is to avenge his father’s killers. Having the identity of a Korean-American he graduated in MIT with a doctorate degree and lands a job at South Korea’s presidential palace. With his job he had the bigger opportunity to execute his goals but he violated one of his principles and that is falling in love with presidential bodyguard Nana Kim (Park Min-young). But an intelligent prosecutor named Jiro Kim emerges and fight backs the City Hunter which is the alter ego of Johnny Lee who wanted him down.
