In reality, with the absence of shoes and slippers 
there millions of children go to school barefooted and they are at risk of injury, disease and soil-transmitted infection. With this kind of scenario TOMS launches the One for One Movement that initiated a campaign called One Day without Shoes to gain awareness about the current situation of most of the children in the third world country and also to raise funds to provide them shoes that they can use.
On April 10, TOMS challenges everyone to take part of this campaign and here in the Philippines, TOMS partners with Ayala Malls to host the event at the Greenbelt 3 Park in Ayala Center, Makati City and registration stars at 3PM. The activity to encourage participants to take off the shoes and walk with barefoot and become champions of this cause. Through this campaign it will bring awareness to participants and others who will witness the event the idea on how children in barefoot have to walk for kilometers to get to school.
As part of the campaign for every shoes will be purchase on the said event it will correspond to shoes that will be given to children in the community that TOMS had partnered with. For every shoes being take off, for every conversation that sparks awareness and purchases done on that day a child will be protected from an of injury, disease and soil-transmitted infection cause by walking barefoot.
