As we approaches the annual switch off event which we call Earth Hour, World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) announces the three major venues in the Philippines who will be holding said activity on March 31, 2012 at 8:30PM-9:30PM. There will be 3 major areas including; Ayala Tower One Lobby in Ayala Avenue in Makati City (Luzon), Fort San Pedro in Cebu City (Visayas) and SM City Davao at the Quimpo Boulevard corner Tulip Drive, Ecoland Subdivision, Davao City (Mindanao).

Aside from the key areas, other cities and communities will be having their Earth Hour activity too. Just keep posted to the announcement of the municipalities on where the venue will take place.

Aside from the annual switch off, the Earth Hour committee dares everyone to be go beyond the 60 minutes turning off their lights and start thinking on what they can do more for the environment which is part of their I Will if You Will campaign. With these online efforts they encourage everyone to dare their friends, followers and readers to do something that will contribute in saving the planet and in exchange they will do more. For example, I will not use my car for one month, if 3, 000 people will join me in using public transportation in order to minimize carbon footprints and usage of gasoline and diesel.

Be part of the annual switch off and keep posted on the official website of EarthHour (www.earthhour.org) or for those who are in the Philippines, follow www.twitter.com/wwf_philippines for more information.
