During her The Buzz interview, Kris Aquino officially confirmed her annulment with James Yap. The annulment case was filed last August 2011. The basis of the annulment was the lack of authority of the solemnizing authority where they were from other religion different of what they have. It means that their marriage is not concrete.
Regarding the distribution of the ownership, Kris Aquino says that in terms division of ownership it was fair between the two of them. She waived her parental support to their son Baby James and according to Aquino she is also working and can support their son. She says that she will not oblige Yap to financially support their son. In terms of custody, Baby James will be on Kris caring and open for James to visit their son.
With the alleged “fake” marriage, Kris mentioned on her interview that she will “adopt” their son but will carry the Aquino-Yap in his name. This is because the child will be considered illegitimate when his or her parents are not married. And Kris works on this status for the good of her sons.
Kris claims that James and she are now friends. She said that after what happen in her life is that it takes the desire to be “in a relationship”.
Kris Aquino will start taping her new teleserye in ABS-CBN entitled “Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw” where she will be joined by Anne Curtis, Robin Padilla and Xyriel Manabat.
