Catch the biggest Job Fair event courtesy of JobStreet.com that will happen at the SMX Convention Center in SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City from August 12 to 13. Tagged as the JobGantic Career Fair 2011, the job fair event offers up to 158,600 job vacancies from almost over 250 local employers and overseas recruitment firms. All agencies are all validated and proven fraud free by JobStreet.com, the overall organizer of the event.

Almost 158,600 job vacancies awaits jobseekers

Up to date, there’s already 45,000 pre-registered participants of the Job Fair which is 5, 000 bigger from the actual target of the organizers which is 40, 000. According to Yoda Buyco, JobStreet.com’s Marketing Director that 25% or 850,000 from the total number of jobseekers (est. 3.5M) registered in their website aims to apply for overseas jobs. That is why their team ensures these jobseekers that there will be overseas recruitment client-firms at the JobGantic Career Fair 2011.

The job fair created a good mix of possible employment from different recruitment firms: 75% or 188 participating companies hiring for local employment and 25% or 62 overseas employment recruitment companies. They also created a faster way to join the JobGantic Career Fair 2011 by putting up a pre-registration option at www.jobstreet.com where jobseekers will receive a faster lane voucher and present it at the registration area for a faster admission. From the record of pre-registrants 49% are from National Capital Region (NCR) and 41% from outside Metro Manila. Based on work experience 45% came from one to four years of work experience, 20% are currently holding supervisor level or with five years or more work experience and 17% are fresh grads and those with less than one year work experience. It shows that everyone is open on possible career growth beyond of what they are having now.

Aside from different recruitment firms from overseas, BPO and others, JobGantic Career Fair has also invited some government agencies to provide jobseeker service assistance including the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Social Security System (SSS), Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), and Technical Education Skills and Development Authority (TESDA). With government agencies, jobseekers will understand their rights and other opportunities when they land a job locally or in abroad.
