As I remember, during the Sooo Pinoy campaign of Unilever Food Solutions last June it was Travel Tales Inc who created the tour. It was tailor-made to fit with the culinary tourism that Sooo Pinoy advocates, combining the rich Filipino heritage and culture blending with the delicious food that each region offers. We kicked off at the Adarna Food and Culture at theKalayaan AvenueinQuezon City, followed by Nathaniels (Timog Avenue), Kabigting’s (Retiro Street), Nihayah Halal, Master Hopia Factory, and Excelente Chinese Cooked Ham in Quiapo Manila, and ended at Café Adriatico in Malate,Manila.

The tour was great simply because aside from filling in our stomachs, they also give us information about the history and culture of the place we visit including how it was connected of us being Filipino. Travel Tales Inc with their campaign Travel for Change, they encourage each participants to take part on a bigger perspective about traveling that includes enjoying the regional cuisine, learning their culture and tradition and being proud of the rich history of thePhilippines. Aside from making the travelers enjoy the packages they offer, they also help the local communities in showcasing their products and benefit from what we call word of mouth aside from the direct income they got from the travelers. With this the regional products and restaurants will have the chance to be promoted by these travelers through their social networks and passing of stories to their friends. Aside from that there are several outdoor activities for travelers to appreciate the beauty of nature and know the importance of preserving it for the benefit of future generations.

For those who wanted to try traveling with Travel Tales Inc here is the list of their travel packages on a very affordable rate but more activities to do. And that’s what I call “sulit”!
