From Invictus and The Informant, Oscar winner Matt Damon returns to big screen in a Warner Bros.’ upcoming psychological thriller entitled Hereafter. The film is directed by Clint Eastwood and written by Peter Morgan. It will be shown in all cinemas nationwide beginning January 19, 2011.
The film Hereafter follows the story of three people; George (Damon), a blue-collar American who has a special connection to the afterlife, Marie (Cécile de France), a French journalist, has a near-death experience that shakes her reality and Marcus (Frankie/George McLaren), a London schoolboy, loses the person closest to him, he desperately needs answers. Each character is in search for the truth that they are longing for and the only key in all their questions can be found with the help of George the only person who can cross the world of the living and the after life. The film was shot in Paris, London, Hawaii and San Francisco.
The psychological thriller also features artists like Jay Mohr, Bryce Dallas Howard, Marthe Keller, Thierry Neuvic and Derek Jacobi. The film is produced by Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, Peter Morgan and Tim Moore and distributed by Warner Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.
