Warner Bros Pictures did a great move on having Inception as one of their line ups for 2010, and letting the brilliant Christopher Nolan do his wonders. Nolan is the producer, director and writer of the science fiction action film staring Leonardo DiCarpio, Ken Watanabe, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page, Cillian Murphy, Tom Hardy, Tom Berenger, Dileep Rao and Michael Caine. Inception is available in all cinemas nationwide including IMAX 3D.

Inception follows the quest for redemption of Dom Cobb who is the most coveted player in the field of corporate espionage with his talent of extraction. He has the ability to steal secrets from his subject through extraction and the best way to do that is when the subject is in his unconscious state. Cobb accepts the last task hoping that it will help him to regain his family and clear his name. Opposite to his usual projects, Cobb will be placing idea rather than stealing it from the subject, making the mind as the scene of the crime. With his fellow extractors they will be the architect of the dream, forger to create new characters and the researcher on how they will manipulate the person’s mind.

It is rare for a film to have both beautiful storyline and visuals, and Inception has it. Nolan is genius in creating stories that are almost flawless in terms of phasing and continuity, an ingredient to avoid boredom among the viewers and letting them see the loopholes of the story. The concept is somewhat new which I find appealing, like what he did in his past movies like The Dark Knight, Memento, Prestige and Insomnia, four movies that caught my attention big time. You can no longer say which is real and what is surreal, because of the seamless transition from one scene to another.

Visuals and sound effects, blends well in the film, where it contributes a big role in the storyline, to show what is surreal and what is outside the dream, but the way Nolan uses visuals he also plays with the minds of the moviegoers to think if its real or not. Hans Zimmer, the musical director of the film plays a vital role in the story where he creates certain atmosphere in all the scenes of the film; he knows how to create emotions through music. I like the part where one character is listening to an operatic music while he is in the dream; the visual was beautifully executed with the right choice of the song/music.

It is rare for me, not only review and promote the movie, but encourage my readers to watch the film because I know when the film caught my interest, it also passes the standards of majority of the sci-fi film aficionados out there. Watching Inception, It worth the time and money and it is now showing in all cinemas nationwide including IMAX Theater.
