As one of the biggest running event since 1974, The National Milo Marathon continue its campaign in reaching out to all Filipino runners and advocates to be part of their yearly running activity where part of the registration goes to a chosen charity or specific cause. This year on the 34th National Milo Marathon, part of the registration fee will go to the 4, 000 pairs of running shoes to be given to the chosen public school selected by Milo with the help of the Department of Education.

Selected public schools includes; Baguio City National High School (Baguio City), Dagupan West Central Elementary School (Dagupan City, Buntatala Elem. School, Jaro (Iloilo City), Camanjac National High School (Dumaguete City), Teodora Moscoso Elementary School (Naga)), Macanhan Elementary School (Cagayan de Oro City), Libertad National High School (Butuan City), Dadiangas West Central Elementary School (General Santos City ), Kapitan Tomas Monteverde Elementary School (Davao City), Annex School Ibis, San Pedro (Batangas City), Lauro Dizon Memorial High School (San Pablo City), Manga National HS (Tagbilaran), Tejero Elementary School (Cebu), Bonifacio Memorial Elementary School (Manila), San Diego Elemetary School (Manila), Tarlac National High School (Tarlac), Gordon National High School (Olongapo) and San Pedro Elementary Central School (Palawan).

There will be 17 elimination rounds beginning on July 4 for the Manila Area which will happen at the Roxas Boulevard Luneta Park, Manila. Here are the rest of the schedules of the 34th National Milo Marathon:

July 11 – CSI Mall, Dagupan City
July 18 – Harrison Road, Burnham Park, Baguio City
July 25 – City Oval Plaza, General Santos City
August 29 – Rizal Park, San Pedro St., Davao City
September 5 – Osmena Blvd., Fronting Abellana National School, Cebu City
September 12 – Provincial Capitol, Tagbilaran City
September 19 – Dumaguete City Hall, Dumaguete City
September 26 – J.M. Basa St., Fronting Freedom Park Grandstand, Iloilo City
October 3 – Plaza Quezon, Elias Angeles St., Naga City
October 10 – San Pablo City Hall, San Pablo City
October 17 – P. Burgos St., Batangas City
October 31 – Mendoza Park, Rizal Avenue, Puerto Princesa
November 7 – Aquino Blvd., Tarlac City
November 14 – Olongapo City
November 21 – Butuan City Plaza, Gov. J.C. Aquino St., Butuan City
November 28 – Velez St., Gregorio Pelaez Sports Center Cagayan de Oro City

Winners of the elimination round will be joining the National Finals of the the 34th National Milo Marathon on December 12, 2010 at the Roxas Boulevard, Luneta Park, Manila. Registration fee for the Metro Manila Races: P500 for the 42.195K Elimination Race, 21-K Run, and 10-K Run, P100 for 5-K Run and P50 for the Student Runners (3K and 5K, for Provincial Racers Registration fee: P500 for 21-K Elimination Race and 10-K Run, and P50 for 5-K Fun Run and 30K Kiddie Run. P5 pesos from the registration fee will be donated for the Run-For-A-Cause the organization that will raise funds for the 4, 000 running shoes. Registrants must present the accomplished and signed registration form (download here: http://www.nestle.com.ph/milo/race_registration.html) along with the registration fee and one (1) Milo label at least 300 mg.
