>After the resignation of Ricky Carandang last Friday, July 9 as an anchor and correspondents of the ABS-CBN News Channel, cable news channel of ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs, Manolo Quezon III also a host of ANC’s The Explainer and recently the inaugural spokesperson of President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III filed his resignation last June 10 from the network which like Carandang’s the management accepts the said resignation.
Quezon and Carandang are two big names in the industry that are possible candidate to head the Communications Department of PNoy. The Communications Department is an extended/expanded version of the Office of the Press Secretary. Aside from the press communications and statements, the department will also assigned to get feedbacks and suggestions from the Filipino citizen by means of social media and other platforms as part of PNoy’s promise of transparency in his administration.
As of now there is no announcement yet on the status of Carandang and Quezon as Aquino’s newly appointed officials in his communications office, but rumor says PNoy will be officially announcing their appointment on Monday July 12.
