>Iglesia ni Cristo formally endorses Aquino, Roxas and 12 senators

>After the long waiting of the announcement that will create a political climate change, Iglesia ni Cristo’s executive minister Ka Erdy Manalo formally issued an statement who will be INC’s vote. Liberal Party Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III and Manuel “Mar” Roxas II will be the INC’s president and vice president candidate for the May 10, 2010 election. Both candidates remain on top of the Social Weather Station and Pulse Asia Survey.

Aside from the executive post, Iglesia ni Cristo also announces their senatorial candidates for the 2010 elections and they are; Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr, Muntinlupa Rep. Ruffy Biazon, Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago, Sen. Franklin Drilon, Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile, Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, Bukidnon Rep. TG Guingona, Sen. Lito Lapid, Ilocos Norte Rep. Bongbong Marcos Jr., Sen. Ralph Recto, Sen. Tito Sotto III and Sen. Pia Cayetano. Along with the senators, INC will be distributing the names of the local government candidates in their local chapters around the nation.

Before the announcement of the INC, rumors says that it will be former President Joseph “Erap” Estrada and Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro will be INC’s vote, until now that the bloc vote favors to the Liberal Party. With millions of members, INC is known with the influence it brings to the election in the country, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and Estrada were one of the candidates who were blessed to have the endorsement of the most powerful and influential religious group in the country.
