>It’s been only few days to go before the 2010 election and everyone waits for the special announcement of the most influential religious group in the Philippines – Iglesia ni Cristo. With members that reaches millions in population, the announcement of whom INC will be supporting or the INC bloc vote is the most coveted announcement that the entire presidential candidates is praying for. Rumor says in all social networks that INC will be supporting Joseph Ejercito “Erap” Estrada who was INC 1998’s candidate during that election, and also Nacionalista Party Manny Villar, a strong contender of Estrada and Liberal Party’s Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III. But until now INC is not confirming whom they will be supporting for the national election.

The INC’s bloc voting begins during the time of the former president Manuel L Quezon who seeks advice from Felix Manalo, the founder of INC. Candidates who became INC’s president for election includes Gloria Macapagal Arroyo who earns INC’s bloc voting. With anyone losing in the survey the bloc vote of the INC will be a saving grace for them where the actual conversion reaches almost 80 % or three-fourths of the INC’s population in the Philippines.

Aside from the presidential candidate, INC also votes vice president that they will be pairing to the chosen president no regards of the political party they are affiliated. With the new Executive Minister, Eduardo V. Manalo, it will be a big challenge for him and the rest of the INC whom they will be choosing from the nine presidents (Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, JC delos Reyes, Joseph “Erap” Estrada, Richard “Dick” Gordon, Jamby Madrigal, Nicanor “Nick” Perlas, Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro, Eddie Villanueva and Manny Villar) and eight vice presidents (Jejomar “Jojo” Binay, Dominador Chipeco, Bayani Fernando, Loren Legarda, Edu Manzano, Mar Roxas, Jay Sonza and Jun Yasay).
