After the parade last December 24 mula sa SMX Mall of Asia hanggang sa Quirino Grandstand sa Luneta ay umpisa na ang labang ng seven local movies para sa The35th Metro Manila Film Festival sa pangunguna ni Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim, newly appointed Metropolitan Development Manila Authority (MMDA) Chairman Oscar Inocentes, Solar Entertainment President Wilson Tieng at newly appointed Optical Media Board (OMD) head Ronnie Ricketts. Ngayong taon kasama sa Metro Manila Film Festival ang mga movie na Darling Kong Aswang I Love You, Goodbye Nobody, Nobody But Juan, Ang Panday, Mano Po 6: A Mother’s Love, Wapakman , Shake, Rattle and Roll XI.
