>Actor-Game Show host and former chairman of the Optical Media Board (OMD) Edu Manzano accept the offer of Lakas Kampi CMD and Gilbert Teodoro to be his Vice President to the 2010 National Election. It’s been awhile since the proclamation of Gibo as the standard bearer last September 16 where several possible candidates decline his offer to run VP under him until November 13 at the Shangrila Hotel in Makati where Manzano was officially announce as his running mate.

Manzano was one of the possible senatorial candidates of the Liberal Party where under the Noynoy Aquino and Mar Roxas tandem. Roxas sends his regards to his future opponent to the vice president position on the 2010 election, according to Roxas in his interview at the ABS-CBN News Patrol he mention that Manzano is a worthy contender for the 2010 election.

Manzano joins the rivalry of Mar Roxas (Liberal Party tandem with Noynoy Aquino), Jejomar Binay (United Opposition tandem with Erap Estrada) and Loren Legarda (National People’s Coalition but with no President tandem yet) while Chiz Escudero and Manny Villar haven’t chosen any running mate until now.

Manzano became Makati City Vice Mayor in 1998 and was defeated by Jejomar Binay when he seek the Mayoral position of Makati in 2001. He was appointed as the first OMD chairman in 2004, a government agency tasked to combat optical media piracy and he resigned last August 2009. Manzano is known by his hosting talent to the defunct game show in ABS-CBN, Pilipinas Game KNB and one of the hosts of Umagang Kay Ganda, a morning news magazine show in the Kapamilya Network
