As The Filipino Channel (TFC) celebrates its 15th anniversary, ABS-CBN Global Ltd.’s subsidiary in Japan announces the launch of TFC on mobile. With TFC on mobile, the freshest news and the best entertainment from TFC can now be viewed from compatible mobile phones within the country.

According to ABS-CBN Japan Managing Director Enrique Olives, “We are launching our latest offering on the 15th anniversary of TFC as a testament of our commitment to bring the best of the Philippines to more and more Filipinos. Our aim is to make TFC available on as many platforms as possible, allowing Filipinos to experience their favorite programs in the way that is most enjoyable for them.”

Subscribers of TFC on mobile can expect to watch the most up-to-date news, showbiz scoops, variety shows, drama series, movies and sports events. Aside from these, they will also have access to real tones of the most popular songs in the Philippines. The monthly subscription fee for TFC on mobile is only ¥1,050.

Making the service possible is a partnership that ABS-CBN Japan forged with communication service provider ISAO Corporation and Entak Incorporated. With the combined capabilities of the three companies, TFC on mobile assures its customers of high-quality video and audio streaming on their cellular phones. This new technology is also equipped with a mechanism that prevents production of unlawful copies.

Parent company ABS-CBN Corporation is well-known in the Philippines for pioneering efforts in television. With the partnership that its subsidiary in Japan forged with ISAO and Entak, the Filipino company has again introduced another first in Philippine broadcasting history.
